Will the third time be a charm? The RV saga continues…
After the New Orleans debacle and the Orlando scheister we were still undeterred from realizing our RV dream. We had a trip coming up to South Florida and wanted to be able to do it in comfort and style so we were in a bit of a hurry now to find one. I once again...
RV Dream still wrecked.
After that harrowing experience in New Orleans, that took a time off my life for sure, we had thought that our dreams for a motorhome were extinguished. Instead, what it did for us, is help us figure out what we really needed. We had chose the Safari Trek because it...
RV Dream turns to Nightmare: part 2
Okay, so there I was 3 hours from home, at 3:30 a.m., freezing, in a part of a city that I am unfamiliar with, I have no transportation and no place to sleep. So first thing I needed was a hotel room to crash, but where was I? Luckily my phone was now charged and it...
RV Dream turns to Nightmare: part 1
Sharon and I have gotten the RV fever again, and have been planning on doing a big road trek coming up in Spring 2012. We envisioned the trip to be done in a Safari Trek. The Trek is a smaller sized class A, diesel-powered, motorhome. With it being diesel we could...

Restaurant: Nav-A-Gator, Lake Suzy, FL

It seems as if it might be almost just the way it was when it opened in the 50s. The walls and property are littered with eclectic memorabilia and what some may call junk, but it creates an atmosphere of a place that time forgot.

A Journey unfullfilled, Lost Sole #387 Dedication
A couple of days ago I awoke to horrible news. A 66 year old Pensacola native, Roger Grooters, had undertaken a 3200 mile journey traversing the United States on his bike to help raise awareness and money for victims of the BP oil spill. He had made it all the way...
