Nora and Daddy playing in the splash area

I guess Ieed to rename our travel blog from Dogparks and Brewpubs, to Dogparks and Playgrounds 🙂 Since Nora has begun walking we have made a point to search out big playgrounds for her to check out. Rightow though I think it is probably more fun for us than her *LOL* Our search this time was while visiting Charleston S.C.

We headed out to James Island County Park which we had visited in the past due to the excellent dog park they built. It is a topotch park so we expected the same for the playground area. we wereot disappointed.

The playground was large with many different setups, and best of all a padded floor. They also had large canvas shades over the equipment to help stay cool and keep the sun from burning. If it was really warm, there was even a play area with fountains and rubber floor for the kids to splash around in.

There is also a water park complete with lazy river, slides and large pool. However it wasot open at the time so we didot check it out. There is always aext time though.

So if you are looking for a playground in the Charleston S.C. area, James Island is the place to go!
