Sharon and I took Labor Day as a time to spend with each other and the dogs out at the beach. It was a great day. Little Jinny ran and ran, and she just loves to be in the water. And Jack loves to explore the shoreline, sticking whatever dead and decaying, nasty thing he can find to put in his mouth :( We figured it may be a while before we can spend time like this with each other, and it may have been the last time we ever will as the family we know now. For we have a little one coming as everyone knows. And she may be coming sooner rather than later.
We came to the decision a few days ago to ask our doctor if we could induce. Sharon has been getting too nervous that something could go wrong if we wait until he decides to come out. If she is ready to be brought into this world from a developmental standpoint, then there is no reason to wait. Let’s get her out and into the boat so to speak.
So I am writing this entry on the morning of the day we are going to ask. I hope she is ready and that Dr. Maher lets us do it. He seemed like he hinted at the fact we should do it the last time we had an ultrasound appointment so I feel confident he will give us the green light. And we know he is, in his own words, “Hell bent on delivering her alive and healthy.”
We are so ready. We are not scared to be parents, just scared we may have that possibility stolen from us again. We know she is going to be a little small for all the clothes we have for her so we went to Target last night and bought her some premie size clothes. They look so little. I canot wait to see her in them.
We will be keeping everyone update through our Facebook pages as it seems the easiest and quickest way to reach the most people. We feel really lucky to have so many people rooting for us. Wish us luck.
